I was a design instructor at the Ecosa Institute in Prescott, AZ for two years, teaching architectural drawing and hands-on construction to college and professional students. It was a blast! I developed my own curriculum for teaching hand sketching and drafting as well as Sketchup modeling, trying to give students with no architecture background the tools to present design ideas.

I used the method of modeling a simple massing model in Sketchup then printing and tracing a sketchy illustration, adding design details with Mike Lin drawing techniques. I was absolutely amazed at the quality of work produced by people who had absolutely no training in architecture or design.
